Introducing Coastal Quest – Your Adventure Racing Weekend
We’re thrilled to announce the Coastal Quest Adventure Race, a full weekend of adventure set against the stunning backdrop of the Surf Coast at Anglesea, taking place 1–3 May. This stage adventure race is designed for everyone — from seasoned adventure racers to newcomers looking for a taste of the sport. Whether you want a single day of racing or the full weekend experience, Coastal Quest has something for you.
Located on Victoria’s famous Great Ocean Road, Anglesea is a natural playground where the ocean meets the bush. With its rugged coastline, surf beaches, twisting mountain bike trails, and scenic trails through the Great Otway National Park, it’s the perfect setting for a true multisport adventure. The Surf Coast captures the essence of what makes adventure racing so special — wild landscapes, technical challenges, and unforgettable scenery.
Coastal Quest is a stage adventure race, meaning teams will race one stage each day, then return to their own accommodation to rest, recover, and regroup before tackling the next day’s challenge. This format creates a relaxed and social atmosphere where racers can share stories, refuel, and enjoy the camaraderie of the adventure racing community. The course will also feature bonus checkpoints, allowing teams to choose their own level of challenge — push harder to collect extra points or conserve energy for the next stage.
For teams wanting a one-day adventure, Saturday offers a course inspired by the Classic Sprint Series, delivering the fast-paced and competitive racing our community loves. Sunday will feature a Novice-style course, perfect for new teams or those wanting a lighter challenge. For the full experience, take on all three stages across the weekend and enjoy the complete Coastal Quest journey.
